Twitter has forever changed how we communicate both socially and in business.

Who would have ever thought 140 characters could impact lives in such a major way. Everyone from teens to celebrities to CEO’s tweet to some degree or another.

For all its acclaim, why do so many marketers fail using Twitter?

The media in proclaiming it a money-getting tool. Then why aren’t you and 98.4% of internet marketers getting the bucket loads of cash that your profit-seeking soul desires with all those Twitter automation tools? – Guy Kawasaki

Twitter, Is It Still “The Bomb” or a Dud?

Has Twitter Fizzled For You?

TweetDeck_128Perhaps you jumped on the Twitter bandwagon months ago hoping to ride the wave of popularity and prosperity and have found yourself beached, battered and broke.

For all of its acclaim, is Twitter helping your build your business? Are you making any money with your Twitter account(s)?

For most marketers the answer is no. Unfortunately, the Twitter phenomenon flooded the market with countless rehashed guides, software of other resources that in the end just didn’t measure up.

Like most trends, the marketing of Twitter by so-called experts lined their coffers but left most people in the lurch, no better off than before they started with regards to using Twitter as a real money making tool.

Like most ‘social’ media, the effectiveness of Twitter is based on interacting with people. While automation tools can help to get your message delivered quickly and consistently, they cannot build relationships. Forging relationships my friends is something that is totally dependent on human involvement.

What’s your experience been with Twitter and do you see it as a viable part of your overall business plan?

I’m interested in what you think, so leave me comment.

twitter-blasterCreate Windfall Profits Beginning Now With PLR Products On Your Hard Drive

Twitter Blaster is a PHP script that will bring viral traffic to your site using the Twitter network. You can build a list very quickly using this technique and increase your profits.

How does it work?

Here’s an example:

* Find some PLR products in your niche with a ready made sales page.

* Improve it as much as possible (sales page, ecover, main product).

* Next to the order button on the sales page, add a “Free Download” button that links to a page with Twitter Blaster.

* Order button is optional just in case that visitor doesn’t have a Twitter account, but who wants your product.

* On the free download page, the Twitter Blaster script asks the visitor to post your message and your site URL on his Twitter profile in order to get your free download.

* Many of his friends see your message on Twitter and visit your sales page. You are getting more and more traffic after each download.

* With 2 simple clicks visitor is posting your message and in next step has to write his Twitter user name.

* The script then checks if your message is on the visitors Twitter page and if it is, sends him to download page.

Your Twitter profile is one of the greatest factors of social media success. These are seven common but devastating Twitter profile mistakes that can hurt your chances of getting new followers.

1. No Photo

When your potential prospects decide on whether to add you or not, they first make their decisions on your appearances. The biggest mistake you can make is not have a photo and look like a spammer. Studies have shown that decreases your chances of being followed a whopping 80%.

2. A Non-personal Photo

You may have a lot of interests, so you may tend to put a photo of your favourite guitar or car. Bad mistakes. People relate to people, not objects. Plus you look like one of those MLM spammers hawking your BMW dreams.

3. A Photo of Your Hero

You may idolize Mother Theresa or even business gurus like Robert Allan. Unfortunately, people prefer the real you. You’re probably going to be tagged (again) a spammer, or just plain ignored because we have enough real friends to keep up with.

4. A Sexy Photo

You may be hot and have the assets to prove it, but those webcam shots are better suited to MySpace. Spammers have been using photos of scantily-clad women for months and you’re at risk of being tagged as one of them.

5. A Boring Photo

Nowadays when your followers receive more than 20 invitations a day, they make snap decisions. If you’re showing a grainy mobile phone photo or something of inferior quality they will just tune you out. Followers are that superficial, and that’s because of a clutter of information.

6. A Group Photo

Individuals want to connect with individuals. Combine a mass of bodies together with Twitter’s obscenely small framing and you’ll get a repulsive mess anyone wants to avoid for sake of simplicity. Exceptions to the rule include married couples, of course.

7. An Amateur Photo

If you’re using Twitter for professional networking. It’s best you use a professionally shot of you looking your professional best. They get high click throughs because your picture has a high perceived value. If you want to be a maven, you need to look the part.

Now, you know how to avoid these common mistakes for Twitter business. Start making money on Twitter the right way.

BONUS TIP:
Put a photo of your pet or your family. Cute animals and kids are magnets for people. Use this psychological trait to your advantage. You create really quick bonding that way.
